UK – yeah ok, Kylie Minogue. France – you had Daft Punk, but that was a decade ago. USA - you’ve been blasting Deadmau5 for too long now…hold up, he’s Canadian. Seriously though, Australia, home of the bloomin’ onion and croc hunter Steve Irwin (RIP), has been pumping out tons of excellent artists. From Cut Copy (checked out their new album, leaked last week) and the Midnight Juggernauts, to Shazam and Vandalism – Australia has been spot on.
Dude that killed it in 2010 and will be dropping his new single “I Like What You’re Doing” in 2011 is my main man Cassian.
His style, funky dance tracks minus the oh-so-common fairy vocals gets this guy an A+ in my book. Friday Night, one of his first singles to pop off is definitely a solid track for any party, or just to get you pumped up as you avoid weekend work from your boss every Friday.
This Drake remake followed soon after, transforming an already great hook into a great dance track.
